The Appleton Zen Center follows the Japanese Rinzai Zen Buddhist tradition. Founded by Reverend Manju Bill Frackleton, Reverend Vicara Mary Connelly, and Daruma Dirck Vorenkamp, the center is located at the Fox Valley Universalist Unitarian Fellowship in Appleton, Wisconsin, and gives instruction in Zen Buddhist philosophy and practice. The Appleton Zen Center offers weekly practice which includes a sutra service, zazen (sitting meditation), kinhin (walking meditation), daisan (private interview with a teacher), and a dharma talk. This sangha strives to bring into being a harmonious and loving world through the practice of meditative, compassionate awareness and mindful stewardship. We welcome you to join us in awakening our hearts and minds.
